I am so thrilled to be your National President for 2018/19, I hope you enjoyed the 2018 conference and AGM in Chester and that it inspired you to get out there and #GetInvolved.
I am very much looking forward to meeting you all as I trot around the country visiting all the areas, I am reasonably normal (ish) so feel free to have a natter with me or ask any questions.
If you would like me to come and visit and you haven’t booked yet, then please email the diary lady who is Marj Aird on firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be able to give you information on availability and how to book.
It’s tradition to have a Presidential Ball on the same weekend as the September Council meeting, so to that end we are having a 1940’s themed ball held at the Sgt’s Mess at RAF Cosford. Dress code is 1940’s, so basically anything you want it doesn’t have to be black tie or ball gown. We hope to see you there; it’s going to be cracking! If you haven’t booked in yet please email email@example.com.
I have chosen Marie Curie as the National Charity for 2018/19 as both my parents benefitted from their invaluable services before they both passed away. Marie Curie get no other funding other than what the Great British public do to raise funds. Please drop me an email if you want more info about Marie Curie and how you could help.
I hope to #Inspire you over the next 12 months but what I would really like is for you to #Inspire one another, I have been inspired by many people over the years but at the moment a fabulous circler called Emma Cartland has really inspired me to do more no matter what the circumstances, she is a real star in my eyes.
Let’s get out there and #Inspire others to join our club!
Yours in friendship
National President 2018/19
