Let Them Eat Cake!
120 Ladies Circle members from across the North East region were joined by National President, Vicky Perry, and two past international Presidents from Malta and India, for an annual lunch event, which also raised over £700 for their nominated charities, CRY and Parkinson’s UK.
Entertainment for the afternoon’s event was provided by a singing chef, Sharron Elizabeth, who regaled the guests with songs whilst she baked a giant cupcake, which was later raffled along with many other fantastic prizes donated by local businesses.
Josie Blackburn, from Leicester, chaired the committee who organised the event: “It has taken us a year to organise this lunch – from choosing a venue and a theme to creating the decorations and menu cards. Everyone on the committee has put a lot of effort into ensuring that all the women here today have a fantastic time. It’s great to see so many members of Ladies Circle here enjoying what we do best – fun and friendship!”
From the table centrepieces of cup cake stands filled with delicious cakes to the individual gifts, the cup cake theme was carried through in every detail. The results were stunning and all the hard work of the past year was clearly worthwhile. The organising committee can now take a well earned break as the task of organising next year’s lunch falls to another area!
