Pocklington Ladies Circle abseil down Pocklington Church.
On Saturday 11th May a group of 8 Ladies Circle and Round Table were braving the dizzy heights of Pocklington Church and abseiling down.
It was a wet afternoon but the group of Ladies Circlers and Round Tablers abseiled down the church tower encouraged on by a welcome group of supporters.
This is part of the Flying Man Festival celebrations held annually in Pocklington.
We are donating our proceeds £1250 to support the flying man festival and St Leonards Hospice in York.
St Leonard's Hospice is a registered charity caring for people with life-threatening illnesses - often, though not always, cancer. Our skilled and specially-trained staff offer in-patient palliative care in a purpose-built unit with 20 beds and Daycare at the Hospice for people living in their own homes. We are also run a Hospice@Home service.
