A great evening was had by everyone when Stourbridge Ladies Circle had their diary planning evening. Our chairman Karen opened the meeting by welcoming everyone including 5 potential new members and announcing that her charity for the year would be the Children's Ward at Russell's Hall Hospital. After having first hand experience of the ward recently she was aware of how many of the toys on the ward were broken and now wants to use her year as chairman to provide new toys for future patients.
She will start her fundraising by having a face painting and hair streaking/braiding stall at the Stourbridge Carnival so if anyone is interested in seeing what Ladies Circle is about we will be at the carnival all day just come along and have a chat. Karen also mentioned that she is interested in organising a bag packing and party event later in the circle year to keep funds coming in for her chosen cause.
After brief updates from our membership officer, Becky, and Publicity Officer, Jess, it was down to the important business of deciding what things we wanted to get up to over the next few months and boy is it going to be an exciting few months. In the diary are events ranging from a country walk to a spa evening with a great mix of things to suit veryones taste.
