Dereham Ladies Circle Support Children in Need

Members of Dereham and District Ladies Circle, the local arm of one of the UK’s top women’s organisations took some time out to fundraise for Children in Need on the main appeal day of 15th November.

Together with their male counterparts, Dereham and District Round Table, these ladies are no stranger to raising funds for use within their local community. As part of their latest fundraising activities, they ran a tombola stall in Nelson Place, Dereham, in aid of Children in Need. The money raised will help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young adults living right here in the UK.

Rebecca Westgate, Chairman of the local group said: “Ladies Circle is all about having fun and giving something back to the community. Supporting Children in Need offers us a great opportunity to do something really worthwhile and have a bit of fun at the same time. We support lots of local charities, including HomeStart and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, and taking part in Children in Need will help raise money for disadvantaged children and young people who need our help.”

Rebecca said “Thank you everybody who donated on Friday and who took the time to have a chat and a bit of fun with Dereham and District Ladies Circle and Round Table. We’re grateful for your cheery support and are incredibly pleased to announce that we raised a magnificent £485.35 on the day. All tombola items were themselves donations from members of the public making the whole event a really great community effort.”
