Lytham Ladies Pink Ball No 11
Each year the Ladies of Lytham 375 put together a spectacular evening of friendship and fundraising at The Grand Hotel St Anne's. The event started in 1993 when a circlers mother had breast cancer and the girls wanted to do something to help raise some money. They decided to put the fun, friendship and fundraising of Circle all together and the Pink Ball was born. Since that first ball 10 years ago the girls have raised over a staggering £52,000 for cancer Research Uk. All this wouldn't be possible without the fantastic team who pound the streets knocking on doors asking local businesses to donate the fantastic prizes. Carole Craine IPC and Area 35 Chairman said " it is the most fantastic event to be part of. No one says no when you ask for a raffle prize as this horrible disease has touched someone at sometime so they always give generously. " the event has moved from February to October which is Breast cancer Awareness month so the girls have a few months off before selecting the next Pink Ball committee to start the fun all over again.
