Chance to help out on matchdays at Home of Cricket: Lord's

Marylebone Cricket Club are welcoming applications for volunteers to assist at high profile matches throughout the 2014 season.

The volunteers will help support match day operations at Lord’s at matches this summer.

Volunteers will work either as part of the venue team, media team, or activation team, at Test Matches, One Day International Matches or the T20 Blast doubleheader on Saturday 17th May.

As part of MCC’s community engagement programme, MCC are looking for applicants to be approachable, committed, flexible and team focused. Volunteers will receive an induction, as well as general and specific training to support their continued professional development.

MCC Community Development Manager Laura Brown said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an interest in volunteering and a love for cricket across London to come and spend some time at the most famous cricket ground in the world. Our volunteers will be fully trained before they start and will play an important role in the unique Lord’s matchday experience.

“The volunteers will be sure to get a lot out of the experience whatever their age, so we would welcome applications from anyone.”

Applicants must be available to attend a training session on either Sunday 27th April or Friday 2nd May, and available to volunteer for a minimum of five of the dates below.

  • The NatWest T20 Blast "double-header" on Saturday 17th May (Training Day)
  • The England v Sri Lanka Royal London One-Day International on Saturday 31st May
  • A minimum of three days within the same Test Match of either the England v Sri Lanka Investec Test Match (Thursday 12th to Monday 16th June) or the England v India Investec Test Match (Thursday 17th to Monday 21st July)
