Pocklington Tangent continues on
Pocklington Tangent 577 recently handed over the running of their group to members of Pocklington and Market Weighton ladies Circle.
Pocklington tangent belong to the National association of Tangent clubs and their main objective is to continue the friendships made within ladies circle and help Circle when required to do so.
Tangent has been running locally since 1981 and Jeanne Wilson handed over to the new chair person,Kate Blackmore, at their recent dinner.
Kate said: 'I'm really excited about becoming the new chair person of Pocklington Tangent. The ladies have done a marvellous job at building Tangent up and I look forward to continuing Tangent locally.
Chairperson of Pocklington and Market Weighton Ladies Circle, Justine Scrowston said 'Pocklington and Market Weighton Ladies Circle has been running for 47 years and most members are now at the stage to move onto Tangent.'
'We are looking for new members aged between 18-45, with the main aim of fun, friendship and fundraising. Whether you're new to the area or just looking to broaden your social life, your local Ladies Circle group is a perfect way of getting more out of life. I wish Kate and her ladies every success with Tangent.'
