Somerset Barn Dance a Huge Success!
Norton Radstock Ladies Circle hosted a hugely successful Barn Dance with a distinct Somerset theme. Everyone had a great night, lots of money was raised and we didn't need to encourage people to dance as there was instantly atleast 20 people on the dance floor for the first dance!
Everyone has worked really hard over the past few months to get this months to get this organised. We split into teams and all dealt with a different aspect of what needed planning including decorations (note the hand knitted buting around the hall!), drinks, food and raffle prizes. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the local companies who donated food, drink and raffle prizes. Without their wonderful generosity this barn dance would have not been such a huge success.
The proceeds from the Barn Dance are all going towards our two charities for the year. British Tinnitus Association and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. These two excellent charities that are very close to all of our hearts, especially our Chair woman, Janice Fisher. We hope to continue with our successful events this year and raise even more money for them. We were lucky enough to have Janice's Mum and her hearing dog Ruffles at the Barn Dance showing how important these dogs are for people.
The Barn Dance really showed what a great team Norton Radstock Ladies Circle is and we can't wait to announce the amount raised.......just as soon as our dancing legs have recovered!
